About Indie Love

Indie Love was born on the back of a book blog started by two English graduates trying to be more productive. It takes that premise one step further and is all about supporting the authors, bloggers, and readers in our community. Our aim is to grow the indie Welsh romance community and offer a safe space, support, and advice in order to enable authors to learn and grow.

Every two years we host a writing retreat in Llandysul where we can get together, write, and laugh with like-minded people in a beautiful setting. We hosted our first retreat in 2018 and our second in 2020, with the next one in February 2022. What sets us apart is how we tailor this event around the attendees, what they need and want to learn in an environment where no question is considered silly or basic.

2020 saw Jade West, Anna Edwards, Lizzie James, SK Clarke, Laura Morgan, TA Andrews, and Alice La Roux create the first Indie Love charity anthology; Empowerment. This, our first anthology, explored what it means to overcome the feeling of powerlessness. To grow, push personal boundaries, and fight back. £150 was donated to Welsh Women’s Aid.

2021’s anthology was to benefit Broken Biscuits, and Laura Greenwood, Arizona Tape, RJ Truman, Paula Acton, Erin O’Kane, Louisa Line, and Carrie Austin-Malone got up close and personal with mythical creatures, magical moments, and dashing quests for love in the Myths and Legends Collection.

Excitingly, 2023 will also bring our first ever book signing. We are welcoming signing authors from all over the world to our capital city to showcase what Wales has to offer. You can find details about our blog, events, and anthologies, as well as other book events in the UK from the menu above. There will be some new and exciting resources coming soon so do check back when you get opportunity.

Thank you taking the time to join us, the door is always open at Indie Love
